Buyer FAQ: MOQ, Lead Times, Tooling & Payment
Direct answers to the questions sourcing engineers and buyers ask most often. If your question is not covered here, send your drawing and we will answer within one business day.
What is your MOQ?
MOQ depends on the part drawing, material and process. Send your drawing and we will state the exact minimum quantity in the quotation.
How long does sampling take?
Sample lead time is 3–7 days for customers in China and 7–10 days for international customers, counted from drawing and tooling approval.
How long is production lead time?
Standard production lead time is 15–30 days after sample approval, depending on quantity, material and surface finish.
Who pays for tooling, and who owns it?
Tooling cost is borne by the buyer. Tooling belongs to Hongde unless otherwise agreed. Tooling cost can be refunded once the agreed mass-production quantity is reached.
What payment terms do you accept?
We accept T/T (bank transfer). Exact terms are confirmed in the proforma invoice.
What Incoterms do you ship on?
We quote and ship FOB by default; other terms can be arranged on request.
Which countries do you export to?
We ship worldwide, serving OEM customers in Europe, North America and Asia.
Which drawing formats do you accept?
2D PDF or DWG and 3D STEP or IGES files with dimensions and tolerances.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes. We sign an NDA before reviewing customer drawings and treat all customer files as confidential.
What inspection documents do you provide?
Each shipment includes dimensional inspection reports and material certificates. RoHS and REACH declarations are available on request.
Are you ISO 9001 certified?
Yes — ISO 9001:2015, certificate No. ISC509024062801R0, valid to August 2027.
